- Remove existing fence leaving the 4×4 posts
- Restraighten or replace 4×4 posts
- Run string from one end of fence to the other to serve as a guide for the top of the fence
- Screw in two or three 2×4 fence brackets per 4×4 post to hold the stringers in place. Or, use this kind of fence bracket.
- Screw fence boards to stringers
- Install solar light caps on top of 4×4 posts
